Summary/Abstract: Authored by His Eminence Ioan, Metropolitan of Banat, the 2024 Christmas Pastoral Letter reflects on the profound spiritual significance of the Nativity. The message emphasizes the ultimate humility of Jesus Christ, who chose to be born in a modest cave rather than a royal palace, inviting humanity to transcend worldly time and enter divine eternity. Furthermore, the Metropolitan highlights the essential role of the Virgin Mary in restoring the human dignity and honor that was lost through sin. Concluding with a powerful exhortation, the letter urges the faithful to practice charity actively, reminding them that caring for the suffering is the true path to the Kingdom of Heaven.
