Pastorala IPS Ioan la praznicul Nașterii Domnului 2025
Pastoral Letter of His Eminence Ioan for the Feast of the Nativity of the Lord 2025

Summary/Abstract: The 2025 Christmas Pastoral Letter of Metropolitan Ioan of Banat reflects on the profound spiritual mystery of the Nativity. The message beautifully highlights the traditional Romanian carol as a pure, heartfelt expression of faith. It explores the Incarnation as the ultimate encounter between Heaven and Earth, emphasizing how Christ’s birth transforms mortal time into a gateway to eternity. Furthermore, the Metropolitan draws a powerful parallel between the Bethlehem cave and modern "caves" of poverty. Concluding with a strong pastoral exhortation, the letter urges believers to practice forgiveness, actively support the vulnerable, and embody true Christian charity.
