Summary/Abstract: This document is the 2023 Easter Pastoral Letter authored by His Eminence Ioan, Archbishop of Timișoara and Metropolitan of Banat. The letter reflects on the profound theological significance of Jesus Christ's Resurrection, presenting Him as the "Living Light" who conquered death and restored humanity to eternal life. It emphasizes the concept of "Pascha" as a continuous spiritual crossing from sin to purity. Furthermore, the Metropolitan urges the faithful to embrace repentance, contrasting the sinful woman's tears with Judas's betrayal. Finally, the pastoral letter includes a strong social call to support widows, orphans, the sick, and the lonely, and to share the joy of the Resurrection with all.
