UPDATE OF THE PROBLEM OF ACADEMIC MOBILITY OF MODERN STUDENTS IN THE CONDITIONS OF ACTIVITY OF AN INNOVATIVE INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION

Summary/Abstract: The article considers the concept of academic mobility of modern students as an actual aspect of the activity of an innovative institution of Higher Education. The main subjects of academic mobility in the «Bologna» interpretation are highlighted. The concept of «academic mobility of students» and the main approaches to its implementation are substantiated. Theoretical and practical features of the implementation of academic mobility of students in the conditions of higher educational institutions are highlighted. The procedures and documents required for organizing students’ training and processing the results of academic mobility are described. Substantiated forms of academic mobility in modern Western military districts. The goals of developing student academic mobility programs as an actual aspect of the activity of an innovative higher education institution are highlighted. The article describes the most important areas of work of the Western Military District in the process of developing academic mobility of students. Conditions and approaches for implementing a successful process of academic mobility of students are reflected. A classification of typical local acts of higher education institutions regulating various aspects of academic mobility is proposed. One of the most important areas of work of the Western Military District in the process of developing academic mobility of students should be the creation of infrastructure to support the adaptation of foreign students, the development of a system of consulting services, social and cultural support for students. The difficulties that students participating in academic mobility often face were identified: organizational issues; financial issues; lack of sufficient information about the possibility of studying in another Western Military District; psychological difficulties (adaptation in the conditions of another Western Military District); transfer of subjects studied in other higher education institutions to your higher education institution; obtaining permission from the administration of an educational institution to complete part of your studies in another higher education institution. The main components of academic mobility of students in the conditions of higher education as an actual aspect of the activity of an innovative institution of higher education are considered: reflexive, effective and diagnostic.
