Summary/Abstract: The article defines the concepts of «support» and «methodological support». The features of the process of methodological support of sports games in a small rural school are revealed. The concepts of sports games «and» rural small school. The psychological and pedagogical literature on the topic of our research is analyzed. The most important aspects of the process of mastering a sports game are highlighted. The peculiarities of the rural educational environment are determined; the problems of organizing physical education classes in rural schools are identified, and some ways to solve these problems are revealed. The principles, functions, and means of teaching in physical education classes in a small rural school are described. The characteristics of organizing and conducting classes of different ages are highlighted. Individual and group forms of work on conducting physical education classes in a small rural school are compared. Recommended examples of outdoor games with elements of playing football in a small rural school. The number of students who are divided into mini-groups for conducting sports games is described. The name, purpose, tasks, content of the games and their time interval are given. The main points that a physical education teacher needs to pay attention to when methodically accompanying players in a small rural school are outlined.
