Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the topical issue of social and physical rehabilitation of children and young people with special educational needs (SEN). The paper substantiates the importance of inclusive social design as a tool for the socialisation of people with SEN, as well as the role of physical culture and sport in this process. Modern scientific research and publications on this topic are analysed, the experience of the Centre for Development and Comprehensive Rehabilitation of Children (Izmail) with children with SEN is highlighted. The effectiveness of the implemented project aimed at social and physical rehabilitation of children and youth with SEN is analysed. The impact of rehabilitation measures on the level of socialisation, physical development and adaptation of the target group was assessed, key successful practices and challenges encountered during the project implementation were identified, and recommendations for improving approaches and introducing innovative methods in similar rehabilitation programmes were developed. The article discusses the basic principles of inclusive social design, the specifics of adaptive therapeutic exercise classes with children with SEN, as well as methods for evaluating the effectiveness of rehabilitation activities. The algorithm of physical education and recreation work with children with SEN is presented, which helps to strengthen their health, physical development and socialisation; the importance of researching different methods of financing rehabilitation projects and focusing on the needs of vulnerable groups is noted. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, recommendations for improving approaches and introducing innovative methods in rehabilitation programmes have been developed.
