Summary/Abstract: The Balkans are a turbulent region in Europe and the frequent disagreements between countries trigger conflicts. Many of them escalate to military ones. Because of this, the Balkans are popularly known as the „powder keg of Europe“. A significant part of the conflicts are caused by the conflicting ideologies developed in the national doctrines of the different countries.
