Summary/Abstract: A seeker of the “lost heaven of childhood”, a traveller on the path of purification, towards “foreign times”, Ion Pillat practices, through temporal transduction, a mythification which restores that lost connection with the “first self”, the inner child (as it appears defined by recent psychology studies). The present work aims to analyze the levers through which, following a non-Hamiltonian route, the poet-senex creates rhizomes that allow his descent, by accessing memory, to the stage of the golden age, up to anhistory, to the archetype of the child. Thus gets outlined the map of a special soul territory, located within the borders of that “magical realm” defined by M. L. Franz, but remaining at the age of innocence is impossible: the depersonalization, generated by hypermnesia, will be accompanied by cryptomnesia. While the madeleines metamorphose into catalysts for the sudden return to a painful present, the sought ataraxia becomes, through cryptesthesia, thanatophobia. Practicing that Jungian exercitia spiritualia with an aliquem alium internum, necessary for transformation (as an instantiation of rebirth), the poet seeks that telos which could have generated a miraculous palingenesis of the true self, but the regression, the recapitulation, paradoxically lead to the impossibility of re-recognition, self-induced by a metaphorical prozopagnosis that will turn to metagnomy. Anabase switches to a painful catabase: puer aeternus remains suspended in the “unlived moment”.
