Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present selected areas of the behaviour of tourists who travel for the purpose of reception of tourist destinations’ culture and to verify the hypothesis that this behaviour differs according to the motive for participation in cultural tourism. Own research helped to identify the profiles of the participants of cultural tourism (i.e. tourists focusing on cultural heritage, participating in cultural events and travelling for religious-pilgrimage reasons) and also the models of their behaviour regarding travelling. Attention was paid in particular to the frequency of trips, preparations, form of travel organisation, and the most often used means of transport and accommodation.
