Summary/Abstract: Besides the old synagogue, the Jewish cemetery at Holešov, Moravia, is the most important relic of the local Jewish community. The authoresses describe the cemetery, study the development of tombstones and provide the readers with brief information about Shabbatai ben Meir ha-Kohen (Shakh, 1622-1663), the most famous man buried in the cemetery.
