Summary/Abstract: The cultural change affects future generations. The phenomenon of Hakk’a yürüme (death) can be given as an example of this change. In this study, the rituals of Hakk’a yürüme in Alevi-Bektashi belief are discussed. In this study, which is based on qualitative research methods, the culture analysis design is used. The data are collected with a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher. The study group of the research consists of the dede and the follower who carry out these beliefs. Since the subject includes practice, the method of participatory observation technique is used. Content analysis is used to analyze the data. According to the research findings, the participants of the study see the Alevism belief within Islam. The participants want the funerals to be removed according to the Alevi tradition with a Turkish prayer, the funeral prayer to be performed for the deceased, and the prayers at the funeral blessing to be read. Participants think that different burial practices will not cause separation. They refrained from expressing opinions about the spirit and soul, and they are unanimous in believing in the hereafter.
