Summary/Abstract: Based on the field research carried out in the territory of the Danube Gorge in Banat, in the villages of Belobreska, Divic and Stara Moldava, the paper presents an analysis of the prosodic characteristics. It is a kosovsko-resavski dialect with a few innovations formed from the every day and direct contact with a non-slavic Romanian language. The unformed accentual system, along with the deterioration of tonal contrasts, and the begining of establishing an exhale accent has lead to the conclusion that these dialects are urgently in need of thorough analysis.
