Bibliophile values in the documentary fund of the Municipal Library "Petru Maior" Reghin

Summary/Abstract: Following researches carried out in the documentary fund of the public library from Reghin we identified sixteen books of patrimonial value, printed between 1551-1812.Out of the production of French printing houses, exists a copy printed in Lyon, to whom is added one specimen printed in Germany - in Magdeburg - and one piece printed in Italy, Venice. Three books are printed in nowadays Austria, in Vienna, other three in Hungary, in Budapest and Komárom, one piece comes from Slovakia, from the printing house from Trnavia - Sîmbăta Mare - and Poland, from Sulechóv. There are four samples of printed book in the Transylvanian centres, in Cluj and Sibiu, two of them bear on the front page the mention with the printing place in Cluj-Sibiu. A similar case is that of a book printed in Vienna-Prague, so that also Czech Republic is added as country of origin for the book.On the whole, we have sixteen books printed in eleven typographical centres from nine countries, we refer to ten copies of old foreign book, four transsilvanicae and two old Romanian books.
