Summary/Abstract: The need for liturgical books of the Romanian community from Transylvania, in the first half of the XVIIIth century, was satisfied by the acquisition of copies printed in Alba Iulia (Bălgrad) in the XVIIth century and by the import of book from outside the Carpathian arch.No sooner than 1747, will Romanians, belonging to the Romanian Church United with Rome, Greek-Catholic, benefit from a printing house, which functioned next to Blaj Bishopric. This study refers to the purchase cost of one of the books that appeared in the printing house from Blaj, Menologion (Blaj, 1781), investigation following the comparison between the price of books and that of some goods from the commercial market from Transylvania at the end of the XVIIIth century and the beginning of the XIXth century.
