Lična odgovornost pod diktaturom

Lična odgovornost pod diktaturom

Author(s): Hannah Arendt / Language(s): Serbian Publication Year: 0

Kolektivna odgovornost

Author(s): Hannah Arendt / Language(s): Serbian Publication Year: 0

Author(s): Vlasta Jalušić / Language(s): Serbian Publication Year: 0

Author(s): Maurizio Passerin d'Entreves / Language(s): Serbian Publication Year: 0

Author(s): Seyla Benhabib / Language(s): Serbian Publication Year: 0

Teorija totalitarizma Hane Arent: preispitivanje

Author(s): Margaret Canovan / Language(s): Serbian Publication Year: 0

Author(s): Marie-Claire Caloz-Tschopp / Language(s): Serbian Publication Year: 0

Arentova najpre konstatuje istorijski prekid u okviru carstva-države, a zatim i njegovu transformaciju.

Author(s): Lisa Jane Disch / Language(s): Serbian Publication Year: 0

Moral i kriminal

Author(s): Theodor W. Adorno / Language(s): Serbian Publication Year: 0

Konzervativizam, dekonstrukcija, univerzitet

Author(s): Predrag Krstić / Language(s): Serbian Publication Year: 0

The paper examines the relation (or the lack thereof) between Derrida and Habermas in the later stages of their thought. Habermas’ buzzword-accusation of postmodern philosophy as being “conservative” is taken as a symptom of misunderstanding, but also, in a sort of recomposition, as a possibility for a different, fruitful understanding of Derrida. Derrida’s anti-sovereignist and, in a sense, anti-political conception of deconstruction, as the resistance-faith and the supreme philosophical loyalty, is presented primarily in its application to the field of reflecting on the institution of the university and its future, as well as – to a lesser extent, and by analogy – to the question of the “new” Europe and its establishment. The affinity here does not appear so close, probable, or even desirable, as it has lately been presented and as it presumably was mutually desired.

Derrida sa Levinasom. Komentar jednog ogleda

Author(s): Boris R. Bratina / Language(s): Serbian Publication Year: 0

This text is a part of a broader examination that considers Derrida’s relation to Levinas in his early works. It is particulary focused on “Violence and Metaphysics- an essay on the thought of Emmanuel Levinas”. In the text that I present here I investigate the so-called ontological violence. The main point I claim is that Derrida’s argumentation against Levinas, in spite of its deconstructive\destructive effects, still remains in the manner which was described by Levinas as an empirial nature of western thought. Besides that, I amshowing some indications for posing that there is functional paralelism between Levinas’ doublet face\Other and Derrida’s being\differance. Furthermore, I believe that if we consider all three kinds of violence and other Derrida’s texts, which were written those years, it might be shown that the theory of the Other was used as the transforming model toward the theory of differance. The pattern for this can be seen in Derrida’s degradation of meaning of “face” related to the rank which that concept has for Levinas. So, all this testifies about mutual positive influence, maybe for both of them, at least Levinas remains as his fourth inspiration after 3H (Hegel, Husserl, and Heidegger).

Globalization and Regulation

Author(s): Josip Kregar / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

Globalization is usually discussed globally. Different opinions on globalization are usually not based on facts, but on values and political stand. Political ideology is not the only basis for disagreement – for example, American conservatives support globalization, while Croatian conservatives oppose to it. Besides, radical left-wing politicians usually oppose to, rather than support globalization. Analytical division of economy, manufacture, politics, society, culture, standard personality features can explain different views, although we know that such divisions are arbitrary. There are no economic changes. Even though the causes and consequences are to a degree economic, the main implications of changes are social.

Author(s): Miyamoto Musashi / Language(s): Japanese,Bulgarian

When the undefeated samurai Miyamoto Musashi retreated to a cave in 1643 and wrote The Book of Five Rings, a manifesto on swordsmanship, strategy, and winning for his students and generations of samurai to come, he created one of the most perceptive and incisive texts on strategic thinking ever to come from Asia. Musashi gives timeless advice on defeating an adversary, throwing an opponent off-guard, creating confusion, and other techniques for overpowering an assailant that will resonate with both martial artists and everyone else interested in skillfully dealing with conflict. For Musashi, the way of the martial arts was a mastery of the mind rather than simply technical prowess—and it is this path to mastery that is the core teaching in The Book of Five Rings. Written not only for martial artists but for anyone who wants to apply the timeless principles of this text to their life, the book analyzes the process of struggle and mastery over conflict that underlies every level of human interaction.

Author(s): Liudprand Liudprand of Cremona / Language(s): Bulgarian

This modern translation of all the surviving literary compositions ascribed to Liudprand, the bishop of Cremona from 962 to 972, offers unrivaled insight into society and culture in western Europe during the "iron century". Since Liudprand enjoyed the favor of the Saxon Roman emperor Otto the Great, and traveled to Constantinople more than once on official business, his narratives also reveal European attitudes toward the Byzantine Empire and the culture of its refined capital city. No other tenth-century writer had such privileged access to the high spheres of power, or such acerbic wit and willingness to articulate critiques of the doings of powerful people. Liudprand's historical texts (the Antapodosis on European events in the first half of the 900s, and his Historia Ottonison the rise to power of Otto the Great) provide a unique view of the recent past against a genuinely European backdrop, unusual in a time of localized cultural horizons. Liudprand's famous satirical description of his misadventures as Ottonian legate at the Byzantine court in 968 is a vital source of information on Byzantine ritual and diplomatic process, as well as a classic of medieval intercultural encounter. Readers interested in medieval European culture, the history of diplomacy, Italian and German medieval history, and the history of Byzantium will find this collection of translated texts rewarding. A full introduction and extensive notes help readers to place Liudprand's writings in context.

Author(s): Petar-Emil Mitev / Language(s): English,Bulgarian

The book concerns the fundamental questions set by the founder of Bulgarian sociology Ivan Hadjiiski: Where are we coming from? What have we gone through? How far have we reached? Where are we going? Sociology is a science in which the person puts his imagination and heuristic potential. Sociology is a craft, in the practice of which the outcome depends on the mastery of the techniques and methodologies, the correct observance of rules and procedures. Sociology is a business that requires certain resources and also can reproduce or increase them. Sociology, however, is something else; it is not only a knowledge of society, but it is a public activity. It loses its meaning beyond the public realization or changes it if this realization does not correspond to the scientific credibility.

The author explores the fundamental conditions of human uncertainty and the main forms of her manifestation and experience. The phenomenon is seen in the light of the new science of chaos and complexity in the context of the risky society/world, in terms of catastrophic consciousness and the conditions of crisis types. Particular attention is paid to trust as a fundamental social attitude and condition against decadent attitudes and nihilism.

The presented monograph is a result of many years of practical work and research of the author in the sphere of intentional influence in Bulgaria, USA and NATO structures. It would be of interest to psychologists, sociologists, psychological surgeons, PR and image-maker specialist, managers, and anyone who wants to understand the psychological mechanisms of influence - why do we think what we think, why we feel what we feel, why we act the way we do it, and how other people and the media influence us. In fact, the book does not offer ready-made recipes, but an understanding of the process that enables us to protect ourselves from unwanted influences and to be more effective in achieving our goals.

Author(s): Georgi Karastoyanov / Language(s): Bulgarian

The monograph attempts to provide an empirically grounded answer to a number of discussional scientific issues related to individual decision-making differences by building a comprehensive conceptual model and constructing a specifically selected toolbox as a prerequisite for creating an empirically validated methodology in the field of research of individual differences in decision-making. Original empirical results have been obtained confirming that the style of decision-making is not identical to cognitive style (nor is it a subset, but contains a cognitive component that does not exhaust any of the styles) and is related to mental self-regulation due to individual differences, generated by the ways of satisfying the hedonistic motif (regulatory focus and fashion), the need to control excitement (stress control), and the need for connectivity and increased self-esteem. These results are a prerequisite for the further development of individual decision-making research as well as the decision-making theory itself, because it allows for a fuller consideration of individual differences and their interaction with the characteristics of the situation and the problem that is being solved. The methodological basis of the study is the cognitive survival theory of Seymour Epstein. The results and theoretical summaries obtained empirically confirm the validity of the global personality theory that has the potential to explain new scientific problems, incorporating private theories such as E. Tory Higgins' motivational theory and Mark R. Leary's sociometric mechanism.

Also, various colleagues such as Dražen Tončić and Mirta Maslać from Durieux, artist Kristina Pongrac and reviewers Ivica Bakota, Zlatko Bukač and Ana Stojanović have been an important part of this volume. The aims of the collection are to actualize ecofeminism and encourage critical reflection and analysis of long-term ecofeminism in Croatia and Southeast Europe; permeation of global and local approaches and knowledge transfer; openness to young authors. For these reasons, the book can be read on several levels: theoretical as a contribution to the knowledge of the theory of ecofeminism in the context of contemporary trends, socio-political as an analysis of social processes and structures, activist through the analytical perspective of activism of individual groups and actors in public, performative and political life. The final part of the volume are poems and this piece of book shows a holistic approach to ecofeminism and integration of scholarship, essays and art which is leading back to the roots and indigenous perspectives of life and community understood as integration.
