Author(s): Jessica Andrea Ordóñez-Cuenca,Víctor Adrián Ayala-Cano / Language(s): Spanish Publication Year: 0

The Role of Tunisia in The Eu’s Migration Governance

Author(s): Tamara Poletan / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

As a result of political and socioeconomic instability which gained momentum in the last decade, and the rising tensions and conflicts in its neighboring countries, a surge in the irregular departures from Tunisia towards the countries of European Union (EU) became a salient feature of post-revolutionary Tunisia. With 1.3 million Tunisians residing abroad as of 2016, Tunisia represents a prime emigration country in the Mediterranean region (Natter, 2021). Driven by its own political and economic interests in the region, migration has figured high on the agenda of EU’s policymakers. Tunisia represents EU’s key partner in various domains, with their partnership dating back to 1976 with its legal basis in Association Agreement signed in 1995. The 2011 Revolution represented a turning point in the EU-Tunisia relations, rendering EU a crucial partner in provision of support to the Tunisian transition towards the modern democracy. As stated on the official web page of the European Commission: “The partnership between Tunisia and the European Union (EU) is rooted in the mutual interest of enhancing a prosperous and stable Tunisian democracy” (European Commission) . In addition to that, Tunisia benefits immensely from the generous financial support provided by the EU with the aim of enhancing migration governance and addressing the root causes of irregular migration. Yet, as per Lixi, the relations between Tunisia and the EU have long been motivated by the mutual needs and interests with rare examples of a true cooperation (Lixi, 2018).

RACIONALIZACIJA TROŠKOVA JAVNOG SERVISA KAO METOD ZA JAČANJE LOKALNIH MEDIJA

RACIONALIZACIJA TROŠKOVA JAVNOG SERVISA KAO METOD ZA JAČANJE LOKALNIH MEDIJA

Author(s): Predrag Panić,Nikola Burazer,Jelena Dmitrović,Vuk Stanojević / Language(s): Serbian Publication Year: 0

Postojanje javnog servisa predstavlja evropsku praksu, uvedenu zarad očuvanja većeg stepena medijskih sloboda i nepristrasnog informisanja.

Author(s): Aygun Erturk-Mincheva,Plamen D. Tchipev / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

The behavioral economics upgrades the psychological characteristics of the economic agent, homo economicus, when analyzing an individual's decisions, emphasizing their biases. The current high levels of inflation amplify the potential for nudges to improve the quality of people's economic decisions. This paper focuses on the possibilities of behavioral economics in the inequalities and promoting savings behavior provoked by current reality using smart disclosure and choice drivers, pre-commitment with setting consumption limits, and promoting the setting of aims.

Farmers' Attitudes towards the Adoption of Sustainable Agricultural Practices (Literature Analysis)

Farmers' Attitudes towards the Adoption of Sustainable Agricultural Practices (Literature Analysis)

Author(s): Lilia Ananieva-Zlateva / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

Increasing farmer acceptance and adoption of environmentally friendly agricultural practices is essential to mitigate the negative impacts of agriculture. However, farmers are not a homogeneous group, and their behavior is subject to a complex set of structural, socio-economic, and socio-psychological influences. Human behavior is one of the driving forces for successful agribusiness management. However, it can be the basis of many resource management problems at the same time and is often the component that is not given enough attention when developing management plans. Moreover, the implementation of agricultural strategies relies on the individual behavior. Individual behavior is based on a variety of social, psychological, institutional, and economic factors that must be understood for successful implementation of farm management strategies. This paper reviews a highly specialized literature in the area of farmers' attitudes and intentions to adopt pro-environmental behavior. The aim of this paper is to analyze the application of some of the social psychology theories in the area of adoption of sustainable agricultural practices and to summarize the factors that influence farmers' attitudes towards adoption. This in turn would help to better understand the agricultural unit and the agricultural sector as a whole. The report examines qualitative and quantitative summaries of highly specialized literature studies published in scientific databases such as EBSCO, Science Direct and others. The literature summarizes analyses over the last few decades of farmers' attitudes and intentions towards adopting pro-environmental behaviors, and the factors by which they are influenced. In order to fulfill its objective, the report is based on two main points, which are discussed in detail separately, namely „Theoretical approaches and models for adopting sustainable agricultural practices“, and „Factors influencing attitudes towards the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices“.

ÎNTRE INCLUZIUNE ȘI EXCLUDERE: POLITICI IDENTITARE ÎN ERA TRANSNAȚIONALĂ

Author(s): DUMITRU DODUL / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

The social, cultural and historical context in which we live significantly influences our behavior and the decisions we make. In this paper, we aim to provide an analysis of the philosophy of inclusion - of recognizing the other, which advocates for a society in which people, regardless of abilities, ethnic origin, religion, or any other personal characteristic, have the right to a dignified life. This involves creating equal conditions for all, eliminating barriers and promoting diversity as a value. On the other hand, cancel culture has emerged, a notion present in recent discourse, to represent a framework in which people with opinions and behaviors that do not fit into the group ideology can be widely ostracized. Such a perspective implies an approach to identity that presupposes the existence of a form of history negotiated by groups, transmitted through institutions so that the targeted individuals recognize themselves in it.
