Rodzic-pedagog wobec wewnętrznej narracji w zmiennej rzeczywistości

Rodzic-pedagog wobec wewnętrznej narracji w zmiennej rzeczywistości

Author(s): Ewa Golbik / Language(s): Polish Issue: 19/2010

It is the attempt to understand the course of educational processes with reference to the category of its influence on its own activity, and consequently a control. The change is an indispensable element of this experience, and a key in understanding of the arduousness of meeting the obligations of accepted life roles. This fact places in a very difficult position those people, who feel the dissonance of interests, for example resultant from acting the mutually preclusive roles. A glaring example is a parent-pedagogue. To see this difficult situation of an internal dialogue building the educational relation as a whole, it is necessary to take into the consideration at least several reference perspectives, for acting the role of a parent-pedagogue against the background of continuous changes. In my estimation, nowadays, the most fore-reaching are these determinants, which are subject to internal narrations of a man. The continuous internal monologue of the participant of all processes, including the educational one, is a final indicator to undertake the educational activities.

UNGARN — Szeged in Punk

Author(s): Miklós Haraszti / Language(s): German Issue: 12/1983

In Szeged, a veritable police campaign against the punk movement was sparked as a »political task«. One of those who could not be dissuaded neither by the teargas spray or by the truncheons from the music of the baldheads or "Mohicans", from their buttons or their printed T-shirts, tells his adventures here. The bearer of this interview comple-ments the narrative - in parenthesis - with own information. This article first appeared in Beszélő No. 316

STRENGTHENING SOCIAL COHESION OF LOCAL, REFUGEE AND MIGRANT YOUNG PEOPLE

STRENGTHENING SOCIAL COHESION OF LOCAL, REFUGEE AND MIGRANT YOUNG PEOPLE

Author(s): Kristina Puleikienė,Simona Grigaliūnienė,Samanta Štraupaitė,State Mihaela / Language(s): English Issue: 2/2023

Migration has been a part of human experience from the earliest days of civilization. Today cross-border movements are characterized by their diversity, as there are no typical characteristics, their legal statuses, and their circumstances and prospects. The millions of refugees worldwide live in a high - income countries, but the majority still are hosted by the low – and middle-income countries. Thought more than 90% of migrations in the world have taken place for employment purpose, youth including students chooses migration also for educational, administrative, social and cultural aspects. The European Union (EU) faces challenges that effects its persistence, including the revival of national populism in many EU members and studies have shown that individuals with immigration histories identify less strongly with Europe, such aspect must be taken into account, because the citizens and their identities are vital for European cohesion. Successful integration benefits both migrants and destination societies, but there are various triggers, which can effect affect the relations toward emigrants, like the pandemic or convivial attitude toward emigrants. Psychological and socio-cultural adaption of refugees are strongly influenced economic concerns, pre-migration expectations, religion and other factors. Settlement in a new country can be challenging process for refugees in general, and for unaccompanied minors in particular. Based on the current situation, a project on “Strengthening social cohesion and capacity of local, refugee and migrant young people by creating STEM/STEAM areas" funded by the Erasmus+ programme was developed with 6 partner institutions from Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Lithuania. The activities and workshops carried out during the project with the participants inspired the development of a research study. This article aims to research the aspects and possibilities to strengthen the social cohesion and capacity of local refugee and migrant young people. Quantitative research included respondents by country of origin from Asia: Iraq, Syria, Turkey and Afghanistan. Analysing the results the hypotheses were tested assuming the differences between opinion of men and women and between respondents grouped by age. The findings of this research can be used to minimize factors that undermine favourable levels of psychological and socio-cultural adaptation and promote factors that facilitate strengthening social cohesion and capacity of local, refugee and migrant young people

REPORTING IN DAILY NEWSPAPERS IN SERBIA AND REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA IMMEDIATELY AFTER ACTS OF VIOLENCE: A CASE STUDY OF THE MASS MURDER AT VLADISLAV RIBNIKAR PRIMARY SCHOOL

REPORTING IN DAILY NEWSPAPERS IN SERBIA AND REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA IMMEDIATELY AFTER ACTS OF VIOLENCE: A CASE STUDY OF THE MASS MURDER AT VLADISLAV RIBNIKAR PRIMARY SCHOOL

Author(s): Jovana Mlinarević / Language(s): English Issue: 3/2023

On the first day after the mass murder, a qualitative content analysis was conducted on nine daily newspapers in Republic of Srpska and Serbia. It aimed to determine the existence of similarities in the reporting of daily newspapers in the two countries, compare the existing reporting with current media regulations and self-regulation, identify any violations, and provide recommendations for future, more ethical reporting, given that a number of ethical lapses were observed in the reporting. The analysis of this event has both scientific and societal justification because the event impacted all members of society, and one of the tasks of science is to provide concrete advice on how to report ethically, professionally, and in accordance with recommendations and existing norms. Ethical lapses in the media can have consequences during times of crisis, shock, disbelief, panic and concern, which were understandably triggered in the audience, given that an event of this nature had not been recorded in our societies before.

FEMINISTIČKI KONCEPT SLOBODNE LJUBAVI: EMA GOLDMAN

FEMINISTIČKI KONCEPT SLOBODNE LJUBAVI: EMA GOLDMAN

Author(s): Mila Marđonović / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 3-4/2022

The article deals with the development of the feminist concept of free love including its basic starting points through theoretical assumptions of the most important authors of this concept in the period of two centuries (18th — 20th century). Following Emma Goldman's understanding of marriage and free love, one of the assumptions of free love is analysed in the paper: that free, independent and autonomous beings are not self-sufficient because precisely their freedom is reflected in their needs and wishes to enjoy the freedom, independence and independence of the other party, in a love relationship, in which the only possible exchange is mental and physical satisfaction, arbitrarily, without the mediation of any institution, not for the sake of material interest, and only as long as the satisfaction is mutual. That free love denies sexual monopoly over partner and represent immediate, flexible and intangible relationship, which is one of the key features of the feminist concept free love, is explained, in addition to Emma Goldman, through the analysis of the novel Free Love by Alexandra Kollontai who was another significant representative of the concept of free love in the 20th century. The paper will also present the phenomenon of "women of the future" linking them with the phenomenon of the "new woman" and criticism of power relations in marriage, drawing primarily on the anarchy-feminist ideas of Emma Goldman. In addition to the rejection of the double patriarchal morality, the symbiosis of the concepts of free love and "new morality" is discussed and that symbiosis is viewed as a necessary element of the concept of free love and refers to the fact that every individual has the right to realize his/her love on the basis of his/ her own views and understandings of morality. Discussing the issues of new morality this paper also endeavours to offer an answer to the question of what the concept of free love offers us, and the institution of marriage takes away from us.

The nature of institutions in a process approach

Author(s): Mateusz Borkowski / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2023

Motivation: The importance of institutions, understood as common social norms (pro-cess approach), is undeniable. As they affect all processes occurring in the economy, itseems crucial to gain a thorough knowledge of their nature. Understanding how institutions work, how they function and how they change would allow for a better explanation of many socio-economic processes occurring in production, exchange and consumption. Aim: The main purpose of this article is to conceptualize institutions in the process approach and to identify the most important features that characterize them. The paper istheoretical and interdisciplinary in nature. Results: The result of the analysis carried out in this article is the identification of the fol-lowing characteristics of institutions in the process approach: universality, heterogeneity(originality), endogeneity, variability over time (spontaneous and constituted), depend-ence on the past (historicity), immateriality and direct non-observability. The study also allowed to identify the following features of the institutional system: internal complexity and internal interdependence, which can take the form of relationships of substitutability, complementarity or mutual exclusion.

HUMOR W CZASACH ZARAZY (POLSKA 2020–2022)

Author(s): Alicja Soćko-Mucha / Language(s): Polish Issue: 1/2023

The article presents humor created in Poland during the COVID-19 pandemic from March 2020 to February 2022. Internet memes, social media statements, jokes and comical graphics present in public spaces were created by Poles in reaction to the events brought by the pandemic. Among the main topics of pandemic jokes were: making supplies, sitting at home, staying in quarantine, illegal gatherings, remote working and schooling, pandemic absurdities, symp- toms of coronavirus infection, and vaccines. At the same time, there were taboo topics that were unlikely to be subject to jokes. The humor of the pandemic initially served a therapeutic and bonding function, but later turned into sarcasm and took on an aggressive tinge.

KONSEKVENCIJALIZAM I ODGOVORNOST DECE: RAZLIKA USMERENA NA BUDUĆNOST IZMEĐU ODGOVORNOSTI DECE I ODGOVORNOSTI ODRASLIH

Author(s): Daphne Brandenburg / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 2/2023

In this paper I provide a forward-looking account of the difference between the responsibility of children and the responsibility of adults. I do so by means of criticizing agency-cultivation accounts of responsibility. According to these accounts, the justification for holding a person to a norm is the cultivation of their moral agency, and children are, just like adults, considered responsible to the extent that they can have their moral agency cultivated in this manner. Like many forward-looking accounts, these accounts claim that the purpose of holding adults to norms is similar to the purpose of holding children to norms. I argue that the justifications for holding adults to norms are different because of the particular ways in which adults can be in moral disagreement with one another, and the consequences that this has. Moral disagreement is relevant to consequentialist accounts because it impacts on whether and how we can secure beneficial outcomes via holding someone to a norm. One of the upshots of this analysis is that the forward-looking justification for holding adults to norms is qualitatively different from how and why we should hold children to norms.

A sikeresség hatása a baráti körre és a családi kapcsolatokra

A sikeresség hatása a baráti körre és a családi kapcsolatokra

Author(s): Zsolt Sándor Kőmüves,Szilvia Szabó,Gábor Szabó-Szentgróti,Gábor Hollósy-Vadász / Language(s): Hungarian Issue: 4/2022

The study examines the impact of leadership roles and success on family and friendship relationships between men and women. The literature on this topic typically focuses on the analysis of success and failure, but the impact of family and friendships on leadership success is a less published area. The questionnaire data collection (n = 437) was conducted among women and men using a snowball method, with separate questionnaires. The questionnaire data were analysed using ANOVA test and Chi-square test. Research findings suggest that female and maleleaders differ in their perceptions of the impact of their own successful leadership roles. Male leaders perceived personal skills, unique ideas, reputation and spousal support as determinants of successful leadership, whereas female respondents did not perceive these factors as being important. More than half of men (51.8%) agreed with the statement that their leadership successes have led them to make new friends instead of old ones. This compares with only 4% of women. Almost half of female leaders (47.1%) believe that they have kept their old friends. Less than half (45.1%) of women feel that leadership has had a positive or negative impact on family and relationships.

Sprawiedliwość w wymiarze terytorialnym – przegląd najnowszych ujęć

Author(s): Agata Mróz / Language(s): Polish Issue: 1/2023

The aim of this article was to present issues related to the concept of social justiceand to join the discussion related to this topic in the field of social sciences. An attemptwas made to discuss this concept and to examine how the concept of social justice is usedin explaining the existing territorial differences in the analysis of various research problems. The study covered issues such as: access to local services, empowerment of the communityand territorial cohesion. A particularly important element of the study is the discussionof theoretical issues concerning the distinction between the concepts of space and territory. The review of the literature showed that the concept of social justice, taking into accountthe territorial dimension, was first discussed in relation to cities, and only later to otherspatial units (regions, peripheral rural areas). This concept gained popularity in the late 1960sand still enjoys great interest among researchers and practitioners. Precise and unambiguousdefinition of a just reality due to its complexity and relativity is an impossible task, unlessthis definition is purely formal, i.e. showing its logical structure, not the content related toit. Following this way of reasoning, the concept of social justice in the territorial dimensionconsists of equal treatment of a certain set of actors according to several (usually two)criteria. At least one of them is related to social or economic issues and at least one tospatial diversity.

Reziliencia és ressentiment. Egy lehetséges fogalmi keret a bizonytalansághoz kapcsolódó narratívák szociológiai elemzéséhez

Author(s): Tamás László / Language(s): Hungarian Issue: 01/2024

The pandemic situation that emerged as a result of the coronavirus, between March 2020 and June 2021 in Hungary, brought about substantial changes in people’s lifestyles. It made the diverse narrative-discursive directions in dealing with uncertainties, present in late modernity societies, particularly visible – often exacerbated by media messages. In recent years, the phenomenon of resilience, referring to the flexible adaptability to changes, has become an important concept in sociological analyses. This study aims to outline a conceptual framework based on quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Within this framework, social resilience, conceived as a habitus, can gain specific sociological relevance beyond the dominant psychological approach. The study places particular emphasis on the aspect of solidarity. The role of the counter-concept to the ideal-typical resilience habitus seems fitting for ressentiment, as described by Nietzsche but hitherto not extensively applied for empirical analyses. Ressentiment, involving hidden anger, mixed with envy, aversion, agitation, and a desire for revenge stemming from helplessness, appears to be an appropriate choice.

EDUCATION AS A MEANS OF SOCIAL INTEGRATION OF STREET CHILDREN IN GEORGIA: NECESSARY REFORMS

EDUCATION AS A MEANS OF SOCIAL INTEGRATION OF STREET CHILDREN IN GEORGIA: NECESSARY REFORMS

Author(s): Maia Kuparadze / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2010

Where they exist, current provisions for the care of street children in the republic of Georgia are inadequate and are incapable of ensuring the children's successful integration into the public school system or of providing them with necessary life skills. Data collected from observation, surveys, questionnaires and academic testing conducted throughout a three-year study of four day-care centres for street children proves that the addition of psychological and educational dimensions to the centres’ basic social functions, the introduction of specialized staff (notably social pedagogues) and the reform of care provision processes based upon the children’s individual needs significantly increases their chances for educational and social integration. This research offers recommendations for reforming the provision of education and care for victimized children in order to enable their successful integration into the public school system based upon an individual approach to their needs and requirements.

A family functioning in larger socialstructures is particularly influenced by the changes that take place in them, forcing changesin family life in various directions. Considering the fact that family life is a very rich reality, and therefore the changes can be and are manifold. In this study, I limit myself in this articleto some of their dimensions. Geneza i ewolucja humoru

Author(s): Agnieszka Libura / Language(s): Polish Issue: 27/2019

The paper discusses various hypotheses that humor is an evolutionary adaptation. First, those re-search fields that may shed light on the origin and evolution of humor are presented. Second, the prob-lem of dating the origin of humor and laughter is briefly addressed. Third, three groups of evolutionaryexplanations are considered, each of which is associated with one of the main theories of humor: psy-choanalytical, cognitive-perceptual and social-behavioral theories. The data provide quite convincingevidence of cognitive and social benefits that may have facilitated the evolutionary development ofhumor. These data are consistent with core theses of the cognitive-perceptual theories of humor on theone hand and with some less prominent versions of the social-behavioral theories on the other hand.
