MANAGEMENT OF ECO-HOTEL NEW PRODUCT USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

MANAGEMENT OF ECO-HOTEL NEW PRODUCT USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Author(s): Adriana Jović Bogdanović,Milan Radosavljević,Maja Anđelković / Language(s): English Issue: 1-2/2024

The modern economy rests on industrial development and production with the application of new technologies, knowledge and achievements in technique, technology, economy, ecology, organization, management, informatics and other branches of science and profession. Processes are being innovated in order to achieve products and services of higher quality and performance, in accordance with increasingly strict market requirements. Today, KETs (Key Enabling Technologies) are increasingly being used, which represent a narrower set of six KETs that enable innovations: micro and nanoelectronics, nanotechnology, industrial biotechnology, advanced materials, photonics and advanced production technologies. Ideas for sustainable hotels are in line with the application of environmentally friendly and automated processes, products and services, which with the application of artificial intelligence (AI) can become green (or even greener). The world's best brands (hotels) have become green thanks to the solutions created by the application of VI, with the launch of many green initiatives (ie. smart showers, solar energy installations, waste reduction and diversion, energy and water consumption savings, etc.). A full understanding of sustainability is important for the hotel industry. The best sustainable hotels are businesses that significantly reduce their impact on the environment through best green practices in maintenance, services, logistics, products and supplies. A hotel that is serious about sustainability must expect large capital expenditures, such as modernization (ie replacement) of HVAC systems (ventilation and air conditioning systems, with the extension to mechanical cleaning and dry cleaning). When hotels go green, they do much less harm to the environment, reduce costs and win the good will of guests. Sustainability in the business world is key to achieving supplier growth and customer satisfaction. Consumers are increasingly looking for green businesses and paying more for environmentally friendly products and services. One in three consumers prefers sustainable brands, and the travel industry is taking note. The research results in this paper are mainly presented according to the dominant program criteria and variables, at the level of ecology or the application of artificial intelligence at the level of products and systems

During archaeological research, especially in the study of the historical and Islamic periods, the focus is on kings’ palaces, religious buildings and famous artists. Ordinary people are generally ignored. This means that all people of every social class should be studied to understand past societies. Petroglyphs are one of the most significant archaeological types of evidence to study ordinary people’s art and concerns. During an archaeological survey conducted by the author in Bavanat county, several petroglyphs were found in this area. Considering the importance of rock art in archaeology, anthropology, sociology, the history of art and rock art tourism, in this article, the petroglyphs of Sangbor that were discovered during the survey of Bavanat have been introduced. At this site several petroglyphs are identified on the rock outcrops in the area. Zoomorphs, anthropomorphs, geometric shapes, and unknown shapes are depicted. Petroglyphs were created by three methods: engraving, engraving-pounding and scratching. According to the amount of patination and weathering, the above petroglyphs were created during different periods. Natural factors such as rock erosion, wind and rain have gradually destroyed these rock art. In addition to preserving rock art sites like Sangbor, they can become a tourist attraction for rock art or cultural tourism.

Author(s): Farima Fehrest,Jenny Panchal,Anja Pabel,Laurie Murphy / Language(s): English Issue: 2/2024

Humour for children has received attention from various academic domains. However, the topic is a less explored area in the field of tourism. Addressing this research gap, the present study aims to firstly, identify the main themes of humour which are discussed in the academic literature about children, and secondly to outline how the identified themes can be applied to children’s learning experiences in tourism settings. The study employs content analysis to systematically review 190 relevant publications from multidisciplinary fields sourced from ScienceDirect and Scopus. Five overarching themes were identified across studies of various disciplines: social, parents, play, teachers, and characters. The emerging themes were interpreted through the lens of Vygotsky’s Socio-Cultural Theory to develop a conceptual framework for children’s learning experiences in tourism contexts. The paper enhances our understanding of the children’s literature in the context of tourism by providing both theoretical and practical insights. It specifically focuses on how humour can be utilised to enrich children's learning in the realm of tourism.

Japan intended to utilise the Tokyo 2020 games as a means to regain the confidence and rectify the damage to the tourism industry caused by the earthquake, tsunami, and Fukushima nuclear reactor incident. Nevertheless, in response to the pandemic crisis, novel strategies and initiatives were devised with the intention of organising the games with restricted participation, thereby mitigating the achievement of the intended tourism objectives. The projects utilised in the games received complete endorsement from the IOC and were included in the roster of recommendations for future game implementations. Our research in this context focuses on analysing the newly developed methodical tourism heritages for the games. We used the document analysis technique, which is a qualitative research method. Our research focused on evaluating projects related to agora houses, digitalization, artistic works, and the exhibition of national identity. It is significant as it allows for the examination of Olympic history's pioneering achievements.

Sometimes, it is said that creativity is the fundamental driving force of the 21st-century economy, just as oil was in the 20th century. Perhaps in this century, the critical factors for economic success are policies that protect creativity, just as energy policy and access to energy were determinants of geopolitics throughout the 20th century. Th e concept of the creative economy emerged at the end of the 20th century with strong globalization, technological development, and digitization. It is considered one of the fi rst cultural industries – cultural tourism, in which public libraries play an important role, along with museums and archives. Th e fi elds of art, culture, and science constitute the basis of the creative economy, and libraries are one of the representatives of culture that provide invaluable services in meeting the needs for learning and culture of the entire society, promoting lifelong learning, information literacy, and creative personal development. What should a new library be like in order to make a comprehensive contribution to the concept of the creative economy, achieve the ideal of creating a connection with users through the collections it possesses, and also make a creative contribution to the economic development of the community?

UYGULAMALI HALK BİLİMİNİN KENT TURİZMİNE KATKISI: MARDİN ÖRNEĞİ

Author(s): Şakire BALIKÇI / Language(s): Turkish Issue: 45/2024

Cultural tourism has become one of the most preferred forms of tourism globally, alongside summer, sea, and winter tourism. Key elements in cultural tourism include places of cultural heritage, museums, markets reflecting the city’s spirit, restaurants, baths, fountains, natural formations, and agricultural areas. In addition to cultural spaces, folklore materials such as rituals based on beliefs, dances, festivities, and culinary culture have gained prominence in recent years among cultural tourism venues and activities. It is crucial for urban folklore to maintain its connection with the past while adapting to contemporary conditions and sometimes leveraging them for self-realisation. Only through this process can tradition be carried forward to the present and future. Since the acceptance of the “Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” in Turkey, significant steps have been taken nationwide to preserve ancestral traditions, customs, places, and practices. The positive developments experienced in recent years in this process, which has been continuing since 2003 in Mardin, are important in terms of first preserving and then promoting the historical and cultural fabric of the city. Public institutions continue their ongoing efforts on the subject. In this study aims to introduce examples applied folklore in Mardin, update the tradition by evaluating existing examples that do not have an application area and then to move urban tourism to a different point from silver and copper shopping and limited historical site visits. The arrangement of cultural spaces suitable for outdoor activities is also proposed among their commendations, in conjunction with the existing “Living Museum” where numerous activities are centralized in a single centre within the city. The study is based on the examine the applied folklore literature and analysis and evaluation of examples in the Mardin Field.
