Съвременен наратив – контекст и проявления

Съвременен наратив – контекст и проявления

Author(s): Stella Konstantinova Angova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2020

The first issue of the Postmodernism Problems for 2020 is dedicated to the contemporary narrative. The publishers approved the topic in January when our lives followed a familiar rhythm of work and the number assembled in a state of emergency. The context and manifestations of the narrative go through the exploration of the new hybrid oral-writing formation through the VoIP application Viber, a narrative analysis of one of the cultural icons of Japanese cinema - Godzilla, cyberbullying as a contemporary narrative form of aggressiveness, the use of multimedia narrative for different business sectors, crisis narrative, narrative through smart technologies and the phenomenology of virtual narratives.

Implicarea Federației Ruse în Orientul Mijlociu

Author(s): Ana-Maria Munteanu / Language(s): Romanian Issue: 4/2017

After the end of the Cold War, Russian Federation felt the need to express, one way or another, an attitude towards the Western approach regarding the world order. Given the current international environment and a seemingly lower involvement of the main international actors, Moscow can consolidate its influence in certain areas of interest, by efficiently using limited resources. In fact, the Russian foreign policy is based on a constant effort to remind the international community that it is a great power and that it has interests in areas including the Middle East, which are to be respected.

Author(s): Wioletta Hajduk-Gawron / Language(s): Polish Issue: 1/2024

The latest issue of the journal features texts dedicated to a wide range of topics related to Polish non-fiction literature. These contributions stem from the VIII International Conference “Polish Literature in the World: Polish Non-Fiction Literature – Perspectives of the Sender and the Recipient”, organised by the University of Silesia in Katowice. The authors examine genres such as biography, autobiography, reportage, and guidebooks, highlighting their shift towards the literary mainstream due to both reader preferences and literary strategies. The articles in this issue provide scholarly reflections on the presence of Polish non-fiction literature beyond Poland’s borders, thereby expanding the state of research on literary reception mechanisms and translation strategies.

Guest Editor’s Introduction for Special Dossier on Uncertain Mobilities

Guest Editor’s Introduction for Special Dossier on Uncertain Mobilities

Author(s): Amrita Datta / Language(s): English Issue: 2/2024

Uncertain Mobilities as a special issue originates from the workshop with the same name I organized at the Department of Sociology, University of Siegen in October 2022. The second day of the workshop witnessed participation from early career scholars including doctoral and postdoctoral researchers who presented their ongoing research outcomes based on fieldworks conducted across continents. The day-long discussion paved the way for several subsequent discussions that some of us also pushed further in individual academic publications. As a group of scholars invested in uncertainties and risks in migration research we observed growing interest among academic peers to engage further in this discourse. This special issue is a long-drawn outcome of this collective interest where early career migration scholars presenting at the workshop and outside have contributed.

The Historical Disciplines in Favour of the Future

The Historical Disciplines in Favour of the Future

Author(s): Harald Hepner / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2023

History, as the always growing sum of pictures to the past, does not consist of separated moments. History may bе compared to а film, which must bе shown as а permanent change of scenes. The big difference to the film projection is that in history there are not any technical maschines which make the moves, it is always men - as subjects or objects ofthe processes. Therefore, we should focus more on all kinds of acting and not so much on stationary situations.

WAR IN UKRAINE. A NEW IRON CURTAIN?

WAR IN UKRAINE. A NEW IRON CURTAIN?

Author(s): Flavius Cristian Mărcău / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2022

February 24, 2022 will go down in history as the black day when the Russian Federation launched an invasion of Ukraine. The imminence of war had been announced weeks earlier by US intelligence services. The dissension between the Russian Federation and Ukraine has taken on a particular magnitude with the annexation of Crimea in 20142 , a dark moment for diplomacy and international law. Invasion of Ukraine remains unjustified, horrible and condemnable. Diplomacy has lost its power these days. It remains to be hoped that an international resuscitation will send diplomatic channels back to work and the war will end. Until then we will look with horror at the thousands of deaths, injuries and infrastructure destruction that the war will continue to produce.

ARGUMENT

Author(s): / Language(s): Romanian Issue: 2/2021

The journal is structured into sections that reflect current issues in various fields, as follows: International Law, Public Law, Private Law, and Criminal Sciences. The journal continues to promote the innovative element implemented in previous issues — within the respective sections, doctoral students are admitted, the criterion being the completion of doctoral studies and the finalization of the thesis, including the initiation of the defense procedure. This exception confirms the high level of research of the doctoral students. Equally, this rule is applied to experts whose studies are of interest, especially for practitioners. Promoting the idea of supporting young scientific researchers, the journal contains a special section called 'Doctoral Tribune,' where they have the opportunity to publish their research results, with the works being reviewed by experts in the field.

Steampunk Transylvania Museum: A Gateway to an Imaginative Era

Author(s): Botond Istvandi / Language(s): English Issue: 2/2024

The Steampunk museum emerged as a testament to the dedication and vision behind its establishment. Embracing the essence of a dreamer involves possessing a boundless imagination and contemplating the seemingly impossible. It is akin to embarking on a mental expedition, where the realms of creativity are limitless. Dreamers are inherently curious, drawn to exploring novel and sometimes unconventional ideas. The museum is dynamic, continually introducing new pieces to its collection, which keeps the content fresh and encourages repeat visits.Steampunk Transylvania offers an immersive experience where visitors can engage directly with mechanical artworks and inventions that evoke the spirit of Jules Verne’s visionary tales.

Educația adulților în Muzeul Etnografic al Transilvaniei. Practici comportamentale și cognitive

Author(s): Monica Cristian,Daniela TOADER,Dana Câmpean,Dana Maria Câmpean / Language(s): Romanian Issue: 2/2024

The role of museums has changed overtime. From places that only catered to the elites of the society, museums have become educators, community catalysts, places of entertainment and discovery that needs to address all members of society. As such they must find new ways to communicate with different communities, individuals. The study of visitor behavior can offer valuable insight into what motivates someone to visit the museum. The motivations for museum visits may be categorized into: social and recreational, educational, self-fulfilling, cultural, evocative of awe and reverence and restorative. Knowing the visitor’s motivations helps the museum design custom-made experiences to suit the different needs of individuals. One of the main roles of the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania is to promote and emphasize the importance of Transylvania’s cultural heritage. Keeping the attention on the visitor’s behavior helps experts to analyze the existing data and develop new ways to quantify the visitors’ motivations. To reach a wider audience the cultural offer created by the museum is becoming more diverse than it was in the past.

Muzeul Etnografic Vișinelu – o încercare reușită de reconstituire a trecutului

Author(s): Dana Câmpean,Dana Maria Câmpean / Language(s): Romanian Issue: 2/2024

Vișinelu village (Mureș County) has emerged from anonymity, leaving its future generations a well organised and inventoried cultural heritage, an authentic testimony to the rural Romanian way of life. All aspects of rural life, from childbirth to death and all the events and activities in-between, are deeply rooted in the collective memory and must be safeguarded. Thus, the creation of a local museum that reunites objects that marked different social events and that aided the local community in their day to day life, is most welcomed. Setting up a local museum is no easy task. It requires the collective effort of heritage specialists. This initiative is proof that the cultural heritage is still very much alive in many villages. It must be seen as an impulse for ethnology specialists to conduct researches in rural communities, to inventory the existing heritage and to showcase it for future generations.

Objects from mobile heritage specific to Romanians and national minorities are proposed for documentation. The sustainable world of museums

Author(s): Laura Cristina POP,Laura Cristina Pop / Language(s): English Issue: 2/2024

One of the major priorities of our century is sustainability, to which all the actions we undertake must be related, whether we are talking about individuals or whether we are referring to institutions. For this purpose, the museum must be considered as a company, the management rules of a company allow an adequate treatment of all the steps towards a sustainable approach. The 21st century is deeply marked by the need of finding ways to consider museums as an active part in the sustainability transition. Museums must start to implement sustainable policies and to become a voice in sustainable education.

Author(s): Sever Alicu / Language(s): Romanian Issue: 2/2024

Playing object, game object, hobby or system object can be anything. In this paper we will consider as object the toy in general and a certain toy in particular, given to the huge impact the latter has had on society over the last half century, impact that, without showing signs of fatigue, still continues to have nowadays. The toy is a magical vehicle that is invested with the power to be the basis on which it builds an ideal world from our point of view. An object that has the power to transport us in that world to which we are the ones who give shape. Of course, we are talking about a form of “domesticated” magic, yet magic. The toy, material or imaginary, is the cornerstone of play. The LEGO system has long gone beyond the toy industry, being applied nowadays on a huge area, including economic, engineering, space, educational, artistic field.
