Author(s): Naci Büyükdağ,Olgun Kitapci / Language(s): English Issue: 4/2017

The purpose of the study is to investigate whether the level of the Internet experience has a moderating effect on the relationship between e-satisfaction and eloyalty. Because according to the literature, the moderator effect of internet usage level has not been investigated in terms of the relationship between e-satisfaction and eloyalty. Therefore, there is a gap in the literature and this study aims to fill it. Multivariate methods were applied in this study. The level of the Internet experience has been the moderator effect on the relationship between e-satisfaction and e-loyalty. Consumers with low the Internet experience were found to show more e-loyalty than those who had high the Internet experience. As the internet usage increases competition, it is suggested that e-commerce companies should be differentiated from other competitors through e-trust, branding of the web site, use of social media communication channels and participation in social responsibility projects.

In gathering required data, survey method is used with 377 respondents based on judgement sampling. In order to test the proposed model, a different calculation for customer equity is applied. In model testing, LISREL package program is used and structural equation modelling (SEM) is applied. Results indicate that the proposed model stating that customer equity, has two more components, namely attitudinal loyalty and behavioral loyalty, is significant at 95% confidence level, has a high goodness of fit (GFI = .93) and has an acceptable level of root mean square error (RMSEA= .07). An Efficiency Evaluation Model for Academic Faculties of a Leading University by Data Envelopment Analysis

Author(s): Muhammet Gül,Melih Yücesan,Onur Duman / Language(s): English Issue: 3/2017

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a linear programming based data analytic method for measuring the relative efficiency of organisational units where the presence of multiple inputs and outputs makes comparisons difficult. Academic departments have critical importance for a university so we agree to research and compare about academic faculties in a leading university in Turkey. The aim of the study is to measure the relative efficiency of the academic faculties and determine the efficient/inefficient ones in the studied university. 12 faculties of the university are investigated within the scope of this study. The input variables are considered as total number of academic staff, total number of non-academic staff, number of students and the output variables are as number of publications, number of projects and the percentage of budget used. While results of CCR model show an average of 90.5% relative efficiency value, five faculties are found 100% efficient according to the CCR model. According to BCC model, the results have an average of 93.7% and 6 faculties are 100% efficient. In terms of the potential improvements evaluated for each inefficient faculty, it is seen that faculty of mechanical engineering and faculty of civil engineering are the ones requiring the most improvement. This paper contributes to the literature a lot however it is a new and proper study on efficiency analysis of faculties of a Turkish university. On conclusion of the DEA efficiency scores, the existence of misallocation of resources or/and inefficient applications to the faculties’ academic development are uncovered.

Knowledge sharing has a strategic importance in organizations, therefore several solutions and suggestions are proposed to overcome the barriers regarding knowledge sharing and to enable the individual’s knowledge to become the knowledge of the organization. We argue that the most important barrier to knowledge sharing is the fear of losing power and uniqueness that may occur after knowledge sharing, accordingly in this study we examine the effect of knowledge sharing behavior of supervisor and mediating role of organizational support. We suggest that supervisor will act as a role model for employees especially to understand the organizational culture and code of conducts and therefore knowledge sharing of supervisor will decrease employees’ fear of losing value. 217 employees participated in our study and according to analysis knowledge sharing behavior of supervisor decreases employees’ fear regarding knowledge sharing and also the mediating role of organizational support is revealed.

The aim of this study is to determine the individual differences that are effective in the formation of psychological contract breach perception and to examine whether perceived supervisor support has a mediating role in the effect of these differences. Psychological contract refers to each part’s evaluation regarding what will be presented to and received from the other in the employee- organization relationship. Psychological contract breach reflects employee’s assessment that the employer did not bear its responsibilities. It was investigated whether individual differences such as positive affectivity, equity sensitivity and reciprocation wariness has an impact on psychological contract breach and it was addressed whether perceived supervisor support has a mediating role in the impact of these variables. A field study based on random sampling was conducted on a firm having 1500 employees operating in service industry and data were gathered through question forms from 285 employees. After demonstrating the dimensional structures of variables through confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis was conducted through structural equation modelling. It was found that equity sensitivity, reciprocation wariness and positive affectivity didn’t affect psychological contract breach. But perceived supervisor support was found to have a mediation role in the relationship between positive affectivity and psychological contract breach.
