Achievements in specialized higher training are at the basis of success in developing the tourist business in accordance with world trends. The process of knowledge and competence acquisition by students of tourism is part of the synergy that is expected to exist between theory and practice. The specificity of knowledge taught in tourism as a professional field needs that practical training be more active and attractive, especially in the context of digital competencies required by today’s tourism market. This paper analyzes some creative ideas for practical tourism training at the New Bulgarian University that can motivate students to acquire more knowledge and skills in the experience industry.
