Численное исследование зависимости структуры расходов домохозяйств от уровня их доходов в контексте концепции самосохранительного поведения

Численное исследование зависимости структуры расходов домохозяйств от уровня их доходов в контексте концепции самосохранительного поведения

Author(s): Andrey Gennadievich Shelomentsev,Ksenia Sergeevna Goncharova / Language(s): Russian Issue: 3/2020

The academic community has been actively discussing and assessing the results of the reform of the Russian healthcare system, which began in the early 2000s. This study considers the results of the reform from the perspective of a concept of health-related behaviour. The paper determines the behaviour patterns of household members concerning personal expenditures on medical goods and services, depending on their monetary income and spending pattern. The main research method was an econometric (correlation and regression) analysis of time series. As a result, we discovered that household income dynamics significantly influence expenditures on medical goods and hygiene items (that vary according to the household income). Moreover, household expenditures on health care depend on its spending on food products. We conclude that, firstly, in 2005–2019, Russia has been showing a steady growth of paid medical services (in total medical care), which are available to less than half of the households. Secondly, health-related behaviour of different groups of households divided by income level significantly changes depending on the income dynamics and spending pattern. Thirdly, an increase in income decreases expenditures on medical services and goods, as well as in an increase in expenditures on health-improvement (preventive) services. We have revealed that spending on food products on average determines 55.9 % of a change in expenditures on medical services. Simultaneously, in the households’ budgets, a 1 % increase in food expenditures displaces 2 % of expenditures on health-improvement services. The obtained results extend the understanding of the features of health-related behaviour that is defined by households’ income, as well as by the spending pattern on food, medical goods and services. Public authorities can consider the revealed features of health-related behaviour of different groups of households divided by income when developing and improving the socio-economic policy in the field of health care.

The Anti-Corruption Action Plan has been developed within the framework of the Coalition 2000 process with the purpose of becoming part of the social agenda as a broadly approved system of measures and actions for curbing the extremely dangerous social phenomenon of corruption. The Anti-Corruption Action Plan gained credit as a document, which was often referred to in Bulgaria and used in other countries as a model for mapping out national anti-corruption priorities. In the words of George Soros, the Bulgarian anti-corruption plan is the most comprehensive and ambitious document of its kind.

Членството в ЕС – конвергентни резултати, проблеми и тенденции

Author(s): Andrey Zahariev,Dimitar Kostov,Martin Dimitrov / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2016

The new EU members after 2004, generates two unmistakable trends: first, the trend of increasing the size of the Union in the direction of population, territory, cultural diversity and block GDP, and second, trend of decrease in the average level of income in the EU, measured per capita. The latter is mostly due to the inclusion in the European Union of countries which have strong net needs for resources to support the process of convergence, leading to a levelling of standards for labour productivity and income. This article aims, from aposition of convergence process, to assess problems, results and trends of EU membership in the enlargement process and the post crisis economic recovery. The article is structured into five separate components, supplemented by closing with key conclusions and recommendations.

The goal of the present study is to delineate one possible framework for analyzing the economic effects of Bulgaria’s membership in the EU, as well as to offer initial observations informing the analysis. The analysis concentrates on the internal dynamic of Bulgarian economic indicators in their relation to the country’s EU membership and is based on the method of the analytical narrative. The initial analysis offered uses to focus levels – macroeconomic and microeconomics, and tries to account for the importance of both the membership and pre-accession periods. The assessment with respect to both the macroeconomic indicators and to various microeconomic processes is undoubtedly positive.

We shall be more active towards EU in our contribution, she concluded. The participants in the conference presented research about the multiple effects on the Bulgarian economy as a result of the EU membership and access to the Single market.
