Dziewiętnastowieczni protoplaści Stefana Grabińskiego według międzywojennej krytyki literackiej
This paper discusses the nineteenth-century authors of horror fiction which could be considered progenitors of Stefan Grabiński. This Interwar writer repeatedly compared himself with Edgar Allan Poe and literary critics of the Interwar period sought in his works for reference points to the horror fiction authors from the previous century. Cited are reviews of Grabiński’s novels and short stories, with a discussion on what was the basis for these comparisons, while trying to assess their legitimacy and value.
