The Érmindszent of Ady

The Érmindszent of Ady

Ady áldott és átkozott Érmindszentje I.

Author(s): Péter Takács / Language(s): Hungarian / Issue: 03/2013

A lírai ihletésben dúskáló Kárpát-medencében is nehéz olyan településre találni, amit tökéletesebb mûalkotás idézne az emlékezetünkbe, mint Érmindszentet Ady Séta bölcsõ- helyem körül címû költeménye. A falu bemutatását a távolról érkezõk határra csodálkozá- sával, a Bence nevû domb megnevezésével indítja a költõ. A „szelíd, széles domb s méla lanka” nyugalmat, kellemes derût, optimista hangulatot sugall. Képzeletben hûs szellõ incselkedik a látogatókkal a nyári forróságban, miközben elménkbe férkõzik a rejtõzködõ múlt Európát formáló történelme: „Tán klastrom állt itt egykoron.”

Impact of the Mexican trade agreements on its business cycle synchronization with the world economy

Wpływ porozumień handlowych na synchronizację gospodarki meksykańskiej z gospodarką światową

Author(s): Wojciech Grabowski,Ewa Stawasz,Justyna Wieloch / Language(s): Polish / Issue: 12/2015

Keywords: trade agreements; business cycle synchronization; impulse response analysis

In this paper we evaluate the role of trading channels in the transmission of shocks on the basis of the business cycle synchronization between the Mexican and the world economy. In order to evaluate business cycle synchronization, parameters of 2-variate VAR models for GDP growths are estimated. Measures of instantaneous quasi-correlation coefficients are calculated for the period preceding the signing of an agreement and the period of validity of the agreement.

Fesztivál az egész világ?

Author(s): József Aradi / Language(s): Hungarian / Issue: 04/2013

Mit tudott Déry Tibor a popfesztiválokról?

Since the emergence of the efficiency frontier techniques, a series of comparisons between the methods that led to the resultant efficiency has been presented. Author(s): Csaba Dezső Dér / Language(s): Hungarian / Issue: 04/2013

Keywords: Hungarian culture; festivals; sustainable development

The author presents the findings of his research conducted in 2011 on the role played by major Hungarian festivals within the processes of sustainable development, based on the opinions of the public as well as the organizers of the festivals themselves. This non-representative study, which relies on qualitative and quantitative research methods, follows British research models. This type of research was first conducted by the cofounder of the organization “A Greener Festival”, Claire O’Neill. Its Hungarian counterpart confronts the research’s findings with the conclusions of the British studies.

Sepsiszentgyörgy feltehetõen a 15. század második fele óta városi ranggal bíró település, mely sok más háromszéki faluhoz hasonlóan már az elsõ, 13. század elejérõl származó írásos emlékben székelyek által lakott településként szerepel.1 Lakossága ma 62 370 fõ, melybõl 46 112 magyar, 14 178 román és ezernél valamivel több roma nemzetiségû. Author(s): Norbert Haklik / Language(s): Hungarian / Issue: 04/2013

Keywords: cyberspace; risks; threats; vulnerabilities; confrontation

Over the past 20 years, information technology has developed greatly. From an administrative tool to offi ce processes optimize, it is now a strategic instrument of industry, government or military. Before September 11, topics related to risks and threats in cyberspace, and those about cyber confrontation were discussed only in small groups of experts. But since September 11, it is obvious that cyberspace is not only about the serious vulnerabilities, but also the possibility of confrontation at the level of whole society.

Do I know what consciousness is?

Do I know what consciousness is?

Tudom-e, hogy mi a tudat?

Author(s): Sándor András / Language(s): Hungarian / Issue: 05/2013

Keywords: René Descartes; philosophy of mind; essay; stream of consciousness; literature; psychology

The original title of the essay consists of a play on words which is impossible to translate into English, built on the meanings of the Hungarian word for consciousness, i.e. “tudat”. Within his contribution, the author employs various etymological speculations, close readings of classical texts and original arguments in the original investigation of human consciousness. His dialogue partners are classic and contemporary authors, such as Daniel C. Dennett, Owen Flanagan, Sigmund Freud, William James, Bertrand Russell, and others. The author’s original reflections on their arguments effectively assume the form of a freestyle philosophical journal, almost written in a stream-of-consciousness style, which simultaneously exemplifies the intimate workings of human consciousness, also addressed at the theoretical level.
