THE BEGINNING OF COLECTIVIZATION IN ALBA COUNTY

ÎNCEPUTUL PROCESULUI DE COLECTIVIZARE ÎN JUDEŢUL ALBA (1949-1952)

Author(s): Dorin Giurgiu / Language(s): Romanian / Issue: 2/2000

The paper refers to the campaign beginning of colectivization in Alna conty, in fact a masked form of land confiscation in private property. The beginning of this process was given by the “colectivization campaign and the kulaks liquidation” decided at the Plenary Session of the Central committee of the Romanian Labour Party, in 3-5 March 1949. Publicaly declared as a tremendous humanitarian project of the peasantry class, the colectivization process started in Alba County had registred a great reject of the landowners and they were not the only ones to protest against this decision. The peasantry in Alba county, highly attached to the traditional values, while a great sentiment of property, became almost immune to this dangerous experiment. This fact became evident between 1949-1952 then in Alba County were registred 3552 vials on sabotage charge. It is obvious that the charge was artificial, order to hide the political abuses of the communists. This process knew, in Alba County and in the whole county, many innocent victim and tragedies denied by the communists at that time.

In the year 1901 he became a member in the Executive Committee of the National Romanian Party, consolidating its militant wing. Proving real political qualities, active and full of energy, Aurel Lazăr is nominate the candidate of the National Romanian Party for the parliamentary elections of the years 1906 and 1910, in the electoral circle of Tinca, the county of Bihor At the end of the war, Aurel Lazăr entered the political elite of the Transylvanian Romanians. Inferring the favorable juncture and the first gesture the Romanians had to make, Aurel Lazăr was one of the initiators and the organizer of the memorable Conference of the Executive Committee which took place in Oradea, on October 12, 1918 and which was held in his house. On the occasion of that Conference, Aurel Lazăr was elected a member in the restricted Bureau of the Executive Comity, and a few days later he was among the six delegates of the National Romanian Party, who, together with some other six social-democratic Romanians, formed the Central National Council of Arad. It was the period while he tried hard and even managed to gather around himself all the Romanian strengths of Bihor and to guide them towards the city of Alba-Iulia, where he made all the necessary preparations for the National Assembly. Aurel Lazăr was one of those who made the Great Union of December 1, 1918, one of the “parents” of the new country. As a part of the Central National Romanian Council, he contributed to finalizing the Motion of the Union, which was to be exposed in front of the Assembly. He prepared and led the deputation of Bihor county at the Grand National Assembly of Alba-Iulia. He was in the Union Hall, among the 1228 delegates, being at the same time one of the orators in the Assembly and speaking to the crowed which had gathered on the Romans’ Plateau, both from the official rostrum and from other unofficial ones. As he returned from Alba-Iulia, Aurel Lazăr started preparing himself for taking over the administration of the county and for receiving the Romanian army.

REMARKS ON THE GENEALOGY OF THE GLASSPAINTERS FROM LANCRĂM (ALBA)

CÂTEVA CONSIDERAŢII ASUPRA GENEALOGIEI ZUGRAVILOR DE ICOANE DIN LANCRĂM (JUDEŢUL ALBA)

Author(s): Ioana Rustoiu / Language(s): Romanian / Issue: 2/2000

In the second half of the 18th century and the 19th century a centre of glasspainting developed in Lancrăm, on the Sebeş Valley. The available studies, from Ghe. Pavelescu and Ştefan Meteş to G.M. Hărdălău and Doina Hopârtean, do not offer any precise information concerning the genealogy of the glasspainters who lived here: no chronological data or references to any blood ties are mentioned. The identity of the founder of the glasspainter families - COSTEA Nicolae or Ioan - cannot be established with precision. Based on some archival data (i.e. the Protocols of the Baptized, the Married and the Dead), this study aims provide an answer to the problem of the succession of the glasspainters in Lancrăm. We could identify, in the Protocols, registrations of the Costea Family - Nicolae Costea, Petru Costea (Petru Costea Dascălu), Ioan Costea and Ilie Costea, Ioan I. Costea. The absence of term "glasspainter" from the Protocols restricts the scope of this research to some remarks only, partial explanations, possible identifications, or a shift in some chronological data concerning some of the glasspainters in Lancrăm.

BEE HUNTING AND BEECH HORNEST IN SOME LOCALITIES FROM THE GURGHIULUI VALLEY AND THE SUPERIOR FLOW OF THE RIVER MUREŞ

VÂNĂTOAREA DE ALBINE ŞI CULESUL FAGURILOR ÎN UNELE LOCALITĂŢI DE PE VALEA GURGHIULUI ŞI CURSUL MUREŞULUI SUPERIOR

Author(s): Adriana Ţuţuianu,Anton Badea / Language(s): Romanian / Issue: 2/2000

In the years 1963, 1965, 1984 and 1990, there were made some researches on the Gurghiului Valley area (Orşova, Hodac, Urisiul de Jos), in the settlements from the defile opening Deda-Topliţa (Deda, Filea, Pietriş, Ruşii-Munţi, Morăreni), as well as in those from the western part of Subcălimani (Vătava, Râpa de Jos). At that time, the ancient occupation of bee hunting was still practising, fact which has made possible the necessary documentation for this study. For looking after the beehives from the wood, two methods were used: 1) The hunting out through the “cobgilirea” method. 2) The hunting out through the “back-moving” method. The proceeding of pulling the beechs out of beehives, it was made by climbing up on trees with the help of “prepeleci” and the hook or with “pătula”. Starting from the first decodes of our century, the traditional agriculture felt into decay and its place has been taken by the systematic agriculture in beehives, which guarantees a better sheltering for the bees.

CONSIDÉRATIONS TECHNIQUES SUR LA RESTAURATION D’UN VASE DU PREMIER ÂGE DU FER

CONSIDERAŢII TEHNICE PRIVIND RESTAURAREA UNUI VAS DIN EPOCA FIERULUI

Author(s): Daniela Ciugudean / Language(s): Romanian / Issue: 2/2000
