Short Description
Crossroads. A Journal of English Studies is a new peer-reviewed electronic quarterly for research in English literature, culture and linguistics, published by the Department of English at the University of Białystok. The term English is to be understood broadly, as covering all its regional and international varieties.
The journal welcomes contributions on all aspects of literary and cultural studies (including recent developments in cyberculture), linguistics (both theoretical and applied), and intercultural communication.
The aim of the journal is to provide a forum for interdisciplinary research, inquiry and debate within the area of English Studies through the exchange, crisscrossing and intersecting of opinions and diverse views.
In addition to articles, the journal also publishes debates and book reviews.
Submission guidelines
Papers should be submitted as an email attachment to crossroads@uwb.edu.pl
The name of the author, title, affiliation and full contact details should be submitted as a separate file.
Manuscript format:
All contributions should be in English. Submitted papers must be original (i.e., not published or submitted for publication elsewhere). The text should be preceded by an abstract summarizing the main points of the paper (100-150 words), and 5-8 keywords. The manuscript should not exceed 8,000 words. The preferred font is Times New Roman (12pt). The text should be double-spaced and divided into sections with appropriate headings.
All tables should be titled and numbered consecutively. Examples should be given in italics and numbered consecutively. Examples in languages other than English should be followed by the English translation in single quotation marks.
