Summary/Abstract: Luxembourg holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union from July 1 to December 31, 2015. Luxembourg took over the role of President of the Council of the European Union from Latvia, which coordinated its work, defined thematic priorities and mediated relations with other institutions of the European Union (EU) in the first half of 2015. This is Luxembourg's twelfth presidency of the Council of the EU.
