Summary/Abstract: This article presents the evolution of lobbying as a political and economic phenomenon which gained speed in the '80s and '90s. The author relates the lobbying as a practice in the European Parliament and discusses the opportunities for the Bulgarian members of the European Parliament to participate in and consider lobbyist approach in their public service. The paper presents practical examples and effects of the lobbying on a European level.
