Summary/Abstract: In theoretical perspective, civil society is related to the democracy issue, and more specifically to the democratization processes – political, economic and socio-cultural. The content of the paper is structured in three parts: 1) The discourse of civil society throughout the years of the Bulgarian transition; 2) New focuses on the Civil society building and Democracy building in Bulgaria since 2007; 3) The citizen protests in 2013 and the emergence of a new, more authentic civil society in our country as an EU member.
