Summary/Abstract: It is a known fact that no language exists in isolation, without being connected to other languages. The premise that every language is affected by other languages is also true in the case of Romanian. From all of the contact elements, we investigate the ones that have entered the language from Hungarian. In the present article, we are going to analyse all the modalities of phonetic-phonological adaptation of palatal consonants of Hungarian (which have no articulatory correspondents in Romanian).
