Summary/Abstract: The author presents an overall picture of the January 6th regime based on available sources from the archival collections of the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Justice, the Comintern, the State Court for the Protection of the State, and the microfilmed materials of the Foreign Office, which are held at the Archive of Yugoslavia. Through these documents, she examines the position of the Communists and the degree of repression against them. Compared to the Yugoslav socialist historiography, this work is a more objective depiction of the position of the Communist Party in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
