Summary/Abstract: This study primarily focuses on the key factors determining Bulgaria's historical development and current state of sports and sports schools after the democratic changes. The changes in the content and form of the organization and management of school sports activities in schools are in line with the standards established by the Ministry of National Education and the countries of the European Union, as well as the opinions of specialists on the relevance of these schools.
