Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the issue of language as a system, focusing on the use of expressive means of language in relation to their potential for subsequent linguocultural analysis, primarily concerning historical narrative. Theoretical perspectives on this problem are presented, considering the formation of historical narratives and their functioning within specific types of discourse. The practical part examines a selected precedent name and its associated precedent field from the point of view of historical accuracy and cultural or artistic interpretation.
