Summary/Abstract: The present article presents a study of 5-7-year-old children in a preparatory kindergarten group, aiming to trace the development of mathematical thinking with the help a variety of constructive activities. The duration of the study was six months – from October 2014 to April 2015. The results prove the positive effect of the application of additional sensory material during informal mathematical activities, as well as its impact on mathematical thinking.
