Summary/Abstract: The present article presents a brief overview of a study, conducted among 5 – 7 years old pre-school children from the preparatory group at a kindergarten, which aims at monitoring the development of numerical concepts via various constructive activities. The duration of the study was six months – from October 2014 to April 2015. The findings prove the positive impact of the use and application of additional sensory materials during informal extracurricular Math activities.
