Summary/Abstract: The publication explores the change in the work of sports journalists related to the increasing use of social networks, their growing influence, and the development of new media. Examples from Bulgarian sports journalism are examined, in addition to those from the Olympic Games and the US professional leagues, where the largest audiences exist and where changes in the roles of sports journalists are most visible. Prof.Efremov and Dr. Veleva have considerable experience as sports journalists, and the examples they give have practical application.
