Summary/Abstract: In this paper, we will analyze the extent to which the rural population in Serbia is familiar with the existing rights and services of the social protection system and, broadly understood, social support, how much they rely on them, and how they evaluate those they have had experience with. The goal we had in front of us was to obtain a more detailed insight into how effective the system is in providing support to this specific population, based on data on information, needs and satisfaction of citizens from rural areas.
