Summary/Abstract: The paper proposes a security leadership model in the context of national security, a model built on three pillars, arguing the provenance of its components, components that originate from many other types of leadership models established in the specialized literature. The authors outline the profile of the security leader and propose two security leadership assessment tools: the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) and the Transformational Leadership Scale (TLS).
