Summary/Abstract: The article refers to two important themes in the works of Professor WładysławJacher: integration and normative basis of social life. Its subject is the proposal to lookat the value as an expression of solidarity between generations. In discussing the issueof focus is usually on their current size —for their role in social integration. Proposedhere is analogous to read them, but in the diachronic dimension of time: implicationsgeneration. Solidarity is a certain type of social relation. It is primarily a kind of cumulativecollective experience. It lived and socially validated by past generations and deemedworth to forward. This is made possible by the specific nature of the values associatedwith them — general and synthetic form. It facilitates intergenerational transmission.At the same time it gives the general and unfinished character. This results is that theymust be getting it again creatively read.
