Summary/Abstract: Today, at the beginning of the third decade of the 21st century, it is undeniable that football is not only a sport, or rather a branch of sports, but also a significant economic activity that brings huge revenues to football clubs, media houses, manufacturers of sports equipment and souvenirs, and the countries themselves. Football is accepted all over the world, and contains many components in both the psychophysical and social areas, which arouse emotions in both participants and spectators. Today, it is undeniable that it is the sport with the largest number of professionals who practice it, as well as recreational players with global popularity and the greatest representation in various media. In this way, football has also become a social phenomenon that is the most striking symbol of today's globalization, thanks to the contribution of new information technologies. Football is not only an industry, but also a means of promoting a country in the world.
