Summary/Abstract: There are few institutions that, despite the dynamic and frequent changes in our society, have managed to last 40 years without changing their basic purpose and goal. The Institute for Strategic Studies is just such an institution. Due to the reforms of the defense system and scientific activity, it changed its name, but it has always basically dealt with strategic problems, taking into account their importance and time dimension. As a pioneering institution in the field of strategy, understanding it in the theoretical sense as a multidisciplinary science, and in the practical sense as a part of war and military skills, it has confirmed the vision of its founder and all those who built its identity as a prestigious research institution.
