Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to investigate the totalitarian features of a neo-calvinist form of Christian theology - Dominion theology -, as most radically expressed in the Christian Reconstruction movement, which is the most extreme component of the American Christian Right, which, in its turn, has managed to institutionalize itself in American policy during the last decades. The importance of analyzing this movement and the specific political theology on which it is founded is enhanced by its universal orientation and by its potential to expand in other parts of the world.
