Summary/Abstract: This article aims to analyze the news coverage of the main political events inRomania as seen by the international media, focusing on the presidential elections. Thedata analysis is based on news reports from all over the world and the findings show thatthere is a polarization in the presentation of the candidates and the political parties in themedia, an aspect which has a direct impact on Romania’s country image abroad.
