Summary/Abstract: Mission renovation is a typical element of the Redemptorist mission system. St. Alfons Liguori inserted it to the mission program and ordered the obligation to carry it out. It was intended to consolidate the fruit of the carried out missions. The classic renovation of the Redemptorist mission should meet certain requirements that determine its meaning. Mission renovation should be related to missions in three dimensions: personal, kerygmatic and temporal. In personal dimension, it concerns the pastor who organized holy missions and invites again to be given by the same missionaries or at least one of them. In the kerygmatic dimension, renovation should not duplicate missionary sermons, but is to be a continuation of them. However, in the time dimension it should take place at a time when the memory of the saints’ missions is still alive (about half a year to a year after the missions).
