Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to analyze upbringing understood as the intentional process of shaping the personality of the pupil, which proceeds according to the current model of socially desirable characteristics of an adult. The analysis applied to the elements of the personality pattern developed by Anthony Giddens, which include: subjectivity, individualism, reflexivity and doubt. The analysis was limited to research on postmodern spirituality understood as the inner world of an individual, sensitive to phenomena and events existing in the reality they experience. Spirituality, understood as deepened pro-church religiosity and ethics of the broadly understood universal good, was a phenomenon observed and analyzed by sociologists in the social world at the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century. Spirituality is both an intellectual current and a phenomenon of postmodern social pluralism and worldview syncretism. The article considers, first of all, the issues of upbringing for modernity, particularized within the course of the upbringing process, the educational model, constructing a postmodern personal pattern and the possibility of implementing the assumptions related to the existence of this pattern in the education system.
