Summary/Abstract: The aim of the contribution is to characterize the life and work of an important Slovak writer Anton Habovštiak, who spent his lifetime work in a linguistic institution. He was involved in collecting and writing of cultural heritage in the form of fairy tales and folk tales of the northern regions of Slovakia. His whole life and inspiration for teaching at primary education is saturated with a Christian view and gratitude to God.
