Specificity of the organization of free time in prison

Summary/Abstract: The article draws attention to the specificity of forms of spending time by prisonersin modern prisons. The authors conducted an analysis of the ways of spending freetime in a selected prison facility. In particular, attention was paid to those forms of activitythat foster broadly defined personal development and contribute to the fact that a stay inprison is lost time. Taking into account the opinions of the convicts on the consequences ofvarious forms of spending time, reference was made to their needs related to maintainingrelationships within the structure of the self – the world, necessary for the proper psychophysiologicalfunctioning of the personality.
