Summary/Abstract: The authors present the testimonies of two Romanian officers who took part in the Crimean Offensive – in particular the German withdrawal in 1944 – Colonel Vasile Teodorescu and Second Lieutenant Vasile V. Sălăgean. In an interview for local radio, the first of them presented his perspective as a professional soldier, recalling the events. The second one supplemented their testimonies with information from the point of view of a reserve officer. Both suffered after the war, at the end of the Eastern Front Campaign: the first was eliminated from the Army and the second was taken prisoner in the USSR.
