Summary/Abstract: This is an article on the exercise of authority in a society based on the example of the formation of a military border in Năsăud, 1762. This is the story of venerable Tănase Tudoran, who stood against the Habsburg authorities by supporting the traditional values of the Romanian people, along with other three fellows who also ended up as martyrs.
