Summary/Abstract: Among the newest typologies of political parties belong to the party cartel Peter Mair and Richard S. Katz. The typology is based on the evolutionary development of political parties, whose appearance varies depending on the political, economic, social and institutional changes in modern democracies. After a theoretical introduction, a brief description of the dedicated evolutionary theory of development of political parties is a major contribution to the application of theory to practical examples of cartel behavior of political parties. The essence of the cartel cooperation of political parties from within the party system is the creation of legal and other measures to prevent new political parties from entering into the existing party system.
